The Banana Barracks prides ourselves in our ability to find work for travelling backpackers all year round or if your not interested in working you will find the comfort of the hostel pleasuable to stay and undertake a wide range of adventure and nature based activites from this central location, For example White Water Rafting, Hikking, Misty Mountains Trails, Skydiving or relaxing on 14km of Golden sandy beaches swimming in the crystal fresh waters of Murray FGalls or Aligators and the famous Tully Gorge.

The Hostel offers a number of accommodatin packages from one week to four week offers. These include Jug of Beer, Pool Comp, Transport to and from work a Banana Baracks T Shirt, Rafting Video or even discounts on Raftig Tours. The accommodation ranges from Multi share double and twin rooms all with air-conditioning, We now have 11 new Banana Bungalows each with their own TV,Fridge and Air condtioning.Mainly to attract the leisure backpacker it will also provide additional and more comfortable accommodation for the working backpacker that just wants to get away from the rest.
