• The Abbey on King backpackers hostel is ideally located at Newtown, with easy access to everything Sydney has to offer. Newtown is alive with energy, with a diverse array of cafes, bars, trendy shops and restaurants.
• Sydney CBD is just ten minutes away by bus or train. Once in the CBD you are close to Darling Harbour and Sydney Aquarium, while another five minutes and you're at Circular Quay. This is where you will find the Rocks, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and the Botanical Gardens.
• We provide friendly, clean, safe and secure mostly dorm beds and some double room accommodation all with shared facilities. It is a great place to meet interesting people and share experiences with other young travellers from around the world.

• • How do I get to the Abbey? Public transport in Sydney is cheap and convenient. To get to the Abbey on King from the city:
• • By bus numbers #431, #432, #433 or #434 from anywhere on Sydney's George Street, the main thoroughfare between the harbour at Circular Quay and Central Station - get off the bus stop after Newtown Station and The Abbey is across the road.
• • By car from the City heading south, follow George Street towards Central Station, into the Broadway, turn left onto City Road (opposite Victoria Park). City Road then becomes King Street Newtown, drive through Newtown shops until Newtown Station, keep left on King street and The Abbey is 100 metres on right hand side.
• • By train from the City, take the Inner West Line and two stops past Central Station you are at Newtown Station, alight and turn left on Kings Street, the Abbey is 100 metres on your right.
