Tube 'n Axe Backpackers Lodge

Our lodge is a beautiful old Cape Dutch style building, with inviting double rooms and large dorm beds. A canopy of black-wood trees covers the property where you'll find our elevated bush camp, and plenty of secluded camp sites where you can pitch your tent or sleep under the stars...

There's a cozy open plan lounge with a jet master fireplace, internet facilities, a vibey African bush style entertainment and bar area equipped with big screen satellite TV, pool table, table soccer and bungee chords for those about to jump.

And we make Lekker Kos (delicious food)! We open our kitchen in the morning at seven and close again at nine at night so we guarantee to keep your tummy full with delicious food from bacon & blueberry pancakes in the morning to our rich sprinbok potjie at night with a selection of in-betweeners like hot soup and fresh home made bread, scrumptious sandwiches, creamy chicken & bacon pasta and zesty couscous salad.

We also have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and braai facilities for those who prefer to whip up their own feast!

Our North facing lounge opens out onto a warm sunny verandah, which in turn opens out onto a large front lawn (perfect for volleyball, rugby, cricket, or for just soaking up the sun!) with two huge old oak trees pitted against a breath-taking view of the stunning Tsitsikamma mountain range.
