Casa Carioka is run by a courageous, adventurous woman who has backpacked in many parts of the world. ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
-SECURITY:
You do not have to worry about security while you are in Casa Carioka. We are situated in a beautiful, quiet street that has a security man working 24 hours. You will feel calm and safe while you are with us.

-THE HOUSE:
All the rooms in the house have BIG windows, sunlight and a lot of fresh air. From the windows you can see beautiful trees with little monkeys swinging in them. We use double bunks in Casa Carioka for your comfort, not triple bunks like most hostels in Rio de Janeiro. The atmosphere of the house is calm, only minutes walk from the beach, surrounded by nature and staffed by helpful, friendly people. You will always feel welcome here. English, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese... we will do our best with the languages we are not familiar with.

Our location is unbeatable. Only minutes walk from the famous Copacabana beach, New Year fireworks and Carnival parties. It is close to everything you need - a subway station, bus stops, supermarkets, night life and many restaurants. Casa Carioka is located next to a mountain in a quiet street that has 24hr security in a very safe area of Copacabana. From our verandah, you can see monkeys swinging in the trees. Casa Carioka is really situated in the most amazing spot and so close to the beach.

To get to all the famous tourist spots is easy from the Casa Carioka. A subway and bus stop is only one block away. For your entertainment, we also offer very affordable tours to the most famous attractions like Christo, Santa Teressa, Lapa (the night life area), the city center, Sugar Loaf and we also provide a Favela tour.
