Aaran House Tourist Hostel is located 5 minutes from the bus station and city centre and 100 yards from the train station. There is a friendly relaxed atmosphere in this hostel.

We are in a good location to see the sights of Cork city and surrounding areas, such as Blarney Castle which is 10km away, Cobh is 20km away and Fota Wildlife Park is 20km away.

Nice hostel! small but cosy and practical, few people -- you don't have to wait for the bathroom! people there are really nice. I'll go back. — camille (2006-08-29) When I read it I thought it could be disgusting, but it was cheap and I went there. It's very good! Cean, orderly...and the owner is very nice. Sorry, but I have to write this. This hostel is dirty, unfriendly and rundown. It reeks in there, and the beds are totally sagging in the middle. The showers are nothing but disgusting! Tracey, the owner, is dead on and Reilly is a gorgeous dog. The kitchen is pretty small and when it's busy it can be difficult to get into it. The showers are a bit annoying, as you have to push a button for water every three seconds. Riley the dog is very moody of new guests. The owner hangs out with an ex-con who drinks and does drugs in the hostel. The hostel does not accept credit cards. Doors to rooms do not lock.
