Description

1. Taxes are not inlcuded in the prices.
2. Reception hours are from 7 am to 11 pm. If you arrive after 11 pm, you will find a letter in our mailbox with your name on it, your bed number, and how to get in. Your door code will be the last 3 numbers of your Confirmation Number.
3. For this reason we do not accpet reservations after 11pm.
4. Our private rooms have ONE DOUBLE BED only, not two singles.
5. We're super fun.

In 2006 We were voted one of the world's TOP TEN HOSTELS on hostels.com!

NEW: FREE PASTA AND SAUCE ON SATURDAYS! But you have to clean your dishes!

We are dedicated to making our hostel better. Last summer we built gypsy caravans, they're like small log cabins. If you reserve a double room with shared bathroom, you will get to experience one of them. There is a fan, yes. Check them out in the photos!

We have air conditioning for the dorm.

Le Sous-bois is pronounced like Le SOO-BWA!!!

We now have an official bar 30 seconds walk from here called Le Velvet. It is a very dynamic place with jam sessions, shows and DJs. Not expensive at all on top of that! The place is opened from 10PM to 3AM everyday except sundays and mondays.

Come enjoy the biggest private terrasse in Old Montreal, it¹s amazing. There are computers, a guitar and bongo drums (better known as tam-tams in Montréal!).

LINEN is included, a nice clean TOWEL, as well as BREAKFAST. Plus there is FREE coffee all day, FREE WIRELESS INTERNET access, TWO FREE COMPUTERS with internet access, FREE laundry and FREE telephone calls to anywhere in Canada and US!

Besides that, what makes us really appealing is our LOCATION. In the heart of Old Montréal,within 5 minute walking distance to the Metro and bus routes leading to anywhere else you might want to go, and a 15 minute walk to fantastic bars and cafés and nightlife.

The dormitory is basically a huge sectioned loft. The bunks are made of big pieces of barn wood, and each bunk is semi-private, with a large air matress and a curtain.

PRICES in private rooms are PER PERSON, you have to reserve for two people to have a private room. Even if you are alone, and you would like a private room you must pay for 2 people.

We expect you to help keep the place clean and pleasant.

COUPLES: we know it's hard when you travel and stay in bunk beds all the time. So we have a mezzanine for you with double beds and curtains around each spot, which are quiiite nice! So if you would like to reserve a bed in the mezzanine, write a C before your name so we know we can put you there, and you'll be all set! These are also great for 1 person as well, if you want a bit more space and privacy. Just be sure to book BOTH beds, even if you're just one person.

AMERICANS: You now need a passport to come to Canada!

Don't miss Le Sous-bois, we would love to have you stay with us!
