• From Santa Cruz:
• The normal way to go to Samaipata from Santa Cruz is by collective cab; that means in a normal 5 seater car that leaves when it fills up. These cars belong to a cooperative of drivers which has its office in a street without name which connects the 2nd Ring with la Doble Via a la Guardia. The cooperative is called El Fuerte. There are two other cooperatives, but they have their offices in the very center of town, what means that it takes you half an hour to get there and the same time to get to the road to Samaipata (Doble Via La Guardia).
• The price by person is Bs 30,-. You can rent the whole car for Bs 150,- or call the office in order to get picked up at your hotel (this procedure has of course an extra price).
• Once you get to Samaipata the cab will leave you at the plaza. From there you take calle Murillo (ask for it) and you go just 5 blocks to get to the hostel. You can also ask your driver to take you directly to the hostel for an extra price.
• From Sucre: the buses from Sucre normally pass through Samaipata at 4:00 in the morning. To get to the hostel you have 2 options, by foot or by taxi (if there is one).
• By foot: you return on the road in direction towards Sucre (ca 500 m) and before you get to the toll control you turn left (300 m); there is a sign.
• By foot: take a taxi at the bus stop and ask the driver to take you to calle (street) Murillo esquina (corner) with calle Ezequiel Arteaga.
