Bubba's House, Isla Bastimentos

• Panama City to Bastimentos
• First take a taxi to Albrook Bus Terminal from wherever you are in Panama city, from there you can find the bus to Almirante. The staff at the bus terminal are all very helpful so ask if you have any trouble.
• Overnight buses from Panama City to Almirante depart at 7p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m and take around 11 hours. Buses are air conditioned and have reclinable seats. The overnight bus costs around $30 you will arrive in Almirante between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
• Once you arrive in Almirante, pay a taxi $1 to take you from the bus-stop to the dock where boats depart to Bocas del Toro for $1. The first boat to Bocas Town departs at 6 a.m. and takes 30 minutes. Boats depart every 30 minutes until 6 p.m.
• When you arrive at the dock of Bocas Town simply ask one of the captains for a boat to Bubba’s House on Old Bank of Isla Bastimentos, this taxi will cost $3 although these prices varying depending on time and the number of people in the boat. If the boat takes you to the main dock, simply follow the signs to Bubba’s House which is 1 minute from the dock.
• David to Isla Bastimentos
• First you must find your way to David, which is 7 hours from Panama City and costs around $15 (leaving from 5:30AM-midnight). Buses to David can also be found if you are leaving heading to us from Boquette.
• When you are in David find the bus to Almirante, look for the bus to Changuinola ($8), the staff are always very helpful so ask someone if you have any issues. When you get on the bus tell your driver you want to get off at Almirante, they will tell you when to get off. These buses depart from 3:00AM till 9:00PM.
• Once you arrive in Almirante, pay a taxi $1 to take you from the bus-stop to the dock where boats depart to Bocas del Toro for $1. The first boat to Bocas Town departs at 6 a.m. and takes 30 minutes. Boats depart every 30 minutes until 6 p.m.

• Making your way to Bubba’s House by air is by far the easiest method of transport. First you must book a flight from Panama City to Bocas Del Toro, using www.airpanama.com is the easiest way to book flights. The cost of these flights ranges from between $150-$200 for a return booking, it is recommended you book as early as possible as flights fill very quickly. These flights depart from both Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and from Albrook Airport (PAC), both are in Panama City.
• The flight time from both airports is around 45 minutes, and will take you to Bocas Del Toro Airport, which is in the middle of Bocas Town. From the airport you need to make your way to one of the docks, a taxi driver will be able to help you with this journey. It is also possible to walk, this will take you around 10-15 minutes.
