• From the international airport (GIG, R$40), Santos Dumont airport (SDU, R$18) or the bus station (RODOVIARIA, R$18) by taxi:
• 1) Get a taxi from the Departures / Embarque doors NOT the Arrivals / Desambarque ones - this way they will take you on the meter which is MUCH cheaper than the 'deals' the normal cooperatives give you
• 2) Ask for RUA MONTE ALEGRE
• 3) On RUA MONTE ALEGRE, take the first right (Rua Cardeal Leme) then the first left (Rua Costa Bastos) up to number 681
• If you are travelling alone, and during the day, it makes sense to take a bus from the airport to the bus station (RODOVIARIA, R$18) then follow the instructions above to taxi the last bit.
