"Very friendly, low-key owners at this small, ideally situated pension where the balcony looks out to Ayasuluk fort and the roof looks across the Roman baths. The rooms are quite nice, very clean, the mattresses are firm and the bathrooms sparkle. I spent the night and hope to return with my wife next summer." … "I stayed in November 2006. Both a building and a room are very clean, can...

"This place is fantastic!! Staff are really amazing. They'll do anything to help you out and keep you entertained. Rooftop area is great for eating their scrummy breakfasts, and then in the evening chilling with a few beers and their hookah pipe! Selcuk is great too, and there's loads to do. If you go within a hundred miles of Turkey, come and stay here!!!" … "Where else can you sit at a...

"Stayed here for three nights. Room was not serviced until we requested our toilet paper bin to be emptied. Towels and sheets were never changed. One light in the room was falling from the wall. Staff were just a little too pushy in recommending/selling their tours -- you may get a better deal going direct to a tour company. If you don't want to be bullied into a hotel, don't tell them where...
"This hostel is situated in the centre of town, walking distance to everything you need. The bus station is a three-minute walk away. The staff were very helpful and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast is a standard Turkish breakfast, and it is served buffet style, so you can eat as much as you want. The bathrooms were clean, but the shower pressure was not very good at all. They...
"Do not book this place. the guy who runs this (mehmet) also known as geoff is a complete crook. he changes the prices of the rooms overnight. having made an agreement, he changed the cost in the morning, he tried to tell us the price we agreed was per person not per room which was definitely not the case. i warn anyone not to go near this hotel. i had really enjoyed meeting the turkish people...

Selcuk Travel Tips & Suggestions

Comment by Sarah Williams
Selcuk is a great way to see other points of interest. I was able to get to Ephesus, Pamakkale, the Greek village of Serince and Priene, Miletos, and Didyma easily. I would recommend staying in Selcuk to visit these areas.
