Turn right toward Torņa iela 4.... Hotel “Sigulda†was built in the year 1889, when the Riga-Petersburg road was built. The building of the road encouraged more people to take holidays. The nobleman Nikolaj Kropotkins (1872-1939) was a man who encouraged tourism development in Sigulda. At first the hotel had only 15 rooms, but the numbers of rooms have increased over time. In 1998 the historic building was reconstructed and in 2001 the hotel was extended with the building of a seminar-conference centre and recreation... Renovated, it will resume functioning as a SPA hotel with 30 furnished rooms, the "Seasons" restaurant and a SPA facility with saunas, pools and various other services.
