"It is a camping site with few bungalows you can stay in! Me and a friend had one of 3(?) bungalows for 2 persons, inside only a bunk bed and a fridge. Not much, but your own for a moderate price. The owner is very kind and kept our luggage on our last day before we left. The facilities are the ones of the camping site. The town is nice, touristical, with a good connection by train. Chiavari Travel Tips & Suggestions

I have lived near Chiavari since 2001, and I should say it is a very nice place to spend a day or two in the summer. There are very nice sandy or pebble beaches in Chiavari itself, and most of all nearby (Lavagna). The city is quiet and safe. You can use Chiavari as a base for visiting Genoa, Portofino, and San Fruttuoso. — DAVIDE SANTI
