The hotel is easily reachable both from Central Railway Station (Piazza Duca d´Aosta) and from Lambrate Railway Station (Piazza Bottini) thanks to public transport: tram number 33 and underground green line number 2.

Our structure is a very good solution for who wants to reach easily all of Milan:

The city centre:
From Piazza Duomo to Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, through the Haute Couture streets.
Exhibition Centre of Milan:
Both the new exhibition pole situated in Rho-Pero (FieraMilano) and the detachment situated in the city (FieraMilanoCity).

Hotel Alba is also very near to the most important hospital of the city (San Raffaele - Centro Tumori Besta - Clinica Santa Rita). We offer special conditions to all guests that come to make examinations in these specialized structures.

The same service is reserved to students who search a cheap accommodation in order to attend courses at the Milan Polytechnic or at the Public University in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci.

Our rooms have all classic and functional light wooden furniture, with shower and wash basin, telephone and TV.
Public bathrooms are situated into the corridor.

Hotel Alba is situated near Lambrate Railway Station and in the proximity to Tangenziale EST (Exit 8 - Lambrate).

At just 700 meters you will find Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, headquarters of the Polytechnic and of some Public University Faculties (Agriculture, Veterinary Science, and Physics).

At just 300 meters, near via Porpora, lies Clinica Santa Rita, a very important clinic that over the last few years had a structural extension.
Easy to reach are also the Istituto Nazionale Neurologico Carlo Besta (just 2 minutes by car or by public transport) and the San Raffaele Hospital.

In front of the Hotel Alba there is the tram stop (number 33) by which you can easily reach both the Central Railway Station and the Lambrate Railway Station.

By plane:
From the Malpensa airport, there are two ways to reach the airport:
1) Take the Malpensa Express train to the Cadorna stop, then take the metro, green-line 2 in the direction of Cascina Gobba/Gessate/Cologno and get off at the Lambrate Station [11 stops];
Walk down Via Porpora (about 500 meters) and after 2 cross lights, you will reach our Hotel to the left side.

2) Take the Shuttle offered by "Autostradale" which will take you to the Central Train Station. Then take the 33 tram in the direction of Rimembranze Lambrate and get off at the stop in Via Porpora to the crossroad Via Teodosio (in front of our hotel).

From Milan’s Linate airport, take Bus 73 to its last stop (Piazza San Babila), change to the metro red-line 1 in the direction of Sesto FS, and get off at Piazza Loreto [4 stops].
Walk down Via Porpora (about 800 meters); you will reach our Hotel to the right side.

From Bergamo’s Orio al Serio airport, get the "Autostradale" Shuttle to the Central Railway Station.
From here take the 33 tram in the direction of Rimembranze Lambrate and get off at the stop in Via Porpora to the crossroad Via Teodosio (in front of our hotel).

By train:
From the Central Railway Station get the subway, green-line 2 towards Cascina Gobba/Gessate/Cologno and get off at the Lambrate stop [4 stops]; Walk down Via Porpora (about 300 meters) and after 2 cross lights, you will reach our Hotel to the left side.

If you prefer taking a bus from the central railway station, take the 33 tram in the direction of Rimembranze Lambrate and get off at the stop in Via Porpora to the crossroad Via Teodosio (in front of our hotel).

By car:
Leave the Tangenziale EST highway at Lambrate [Exit 8].
Then, turn to your left at the light and go down through Via Rombon.
After the tunnel, going straight along Via Porpora.
After 200 meters, you can find our hotel on your left.

It was perfect for my needs. I wanted an economical, centrally located place that was safe and quiet - that is what I found. There ended up only being three women in our 6-bed room. The other ladies were friendly and we all conked out pretty early. The employees were so helpful and nice! I am an American student and after tons of time spent in airports I was exhausted. They were very helpful, helping carry bags, etc up to my room. In the morning as I tried to figure out how to get to my dorm across town, they were very helpful in first trying to help me bus over there and then calling a taxi.
