Amazing pool and gym I stayed here with my fiance while we waited for our paperwork for our wedding to be complete. As we were not sightseeing in Bangkok the apartment was perfect. The room was spacious, clean, and bright. Breakfast wasn't included though unlike other hostels we stayed in. The pool was a great size and fitness room was light, cool and very clean. My only complaint would be it is kind of in the middle of a suburb where it takes 10-20 mins to walk to a main rd to catch a bus. If I was sight seeing in Bangkok I would stay somewhere more central BUT if I was wanting to unwind from months of backpacking then this place is PERFECT. The staff are exceptionally friendly, they will call you taxis 24hrs a day there is a great smoothie place downstairs and an ATM. The restaurant is average. Portions are small and the meat was tough I'd recommend you bring your own food as there isn't too much around. It takes an hour to get to Koh San by taxi from there as it is over the other side of the river. — Anonymous , Australian and Canadian (2010-07-18) This is such a nice place to stay After five weeks backpacking around Europe we were looking for a nice, comfortable place to stay -- found Sivalai online a travel website. The bed was very comfortable and easy access by taxi to other areas of Bangkok. This is such a nice place to stay. Lovely quiet rooms, very friendly staff who make you feel at home. The staff were extremely friendly and greeted me with Chinese ice tea when I arrived. The hotel is in a quiet location, just ten minutes drive to Khao San. We were so relieved to be staying at Sivalai Place, because we were able to relax and rest there after trying to conquer the Bangkok streets. The food was amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful. Internet works great. We have stayed three nights in the Sivalai Place and it much more than I expected. We booked with a hostel booking site and it cost 38 USD a night. It's like ten minutes with the cab to the main shopping street and they always tell the driver where you want to go in Thai. Room was so great and very clean. Staff were helpful and sweet.
