I have enjoyed staying at Lotus every time I'm there! In a busy, noisy city they can offer rooms with tranquility. Their rooms have more character than the ones in other budget hotels. One should take a look at several rooms, because for example the softness and the size of beds vary. Some rooms face a busy street while other a quiet alley. I have always taken a room without a bathroom because the bathroom is (almost) opposite the room and there is a sink in all the rooms (this is unusual in non-attached rooms in Cairo). — Usva Auer (2005-08-13)
