A wonderful place to find yourself in south america. i stayed at mountainhome for four nights in late december 2007. a wonderful and loving place! i hiked a glacier, i toured valparaiso, i visited central santiago, mercado central, and government buildings. i saw pablo naruda's seaside home, i ate the freshest catch of the day, i drank wine and saw the sunrise many times, each in the comfort and care of the family that is -- mountainhome. If you are searching, if you come with an open and loving heart, the gift awaits you. ask if victor is available, a knowledgeable and truly kind man who will help navigate the language and offer much by way of history and legend, a loving soul. ask him to take you to budapest! the freshest beer and it's minutes away. and they helped with my patagonian adventure, too. the beauty, the mystery, the gift. i will return many times. viva mountainhome!
