I highly recommend staying at Hopfan. It is located in quiet neighbourhood, owner is very nice, helpful and providing many useful tips about London. It is a nice bed and breakfast in Westham, The room was nice and clean. The was owner very helpful and friendly! The position is quite ok 30 min to the centre with the underground. 10 min walk to the underground station and 2 min to the next bus station (arrington road Bus 58 from uptonpark!) there is also a nightbus going to the busstaion so you can go out and take the bus home! Very nice B&B! Not far from the centre in a quite district, with many shops and different restaurants. The B&B is very clean and welcoming. Good breackfast with anything you want. Greetings from Netherlands. My wife and Stayed at Hopfan after attending a concert at the O2(Millenium dome)It was very convienient to travel late at night.We felt so homely at Hopfan that my wife started arguing with me as usual no sooner we got to bed ha ha ha :)It is a very nice and clean place and the bed was very comfortable We had the best sleep in a long time. Starting from the friendly welcome from Daisy and the much appreciated drink of ice-cold orange juice, this was a realtreat. Directions given were excellent. I would recommend this b&b to anyone sightseeing London. Daisy, the owner, is nice, kind and easy-going: she gave us help and many good advices. The rooms are really clean, and the bathroom too. Hopfan Bed & Breakfast is located in East London, next to Upton Park station, about 20-30 minutes from the city center by tube. I am a seasoned traveller and travelled to different countries and stayed in different hotels and hostels etc.But I have never come across a place like this where there is so much warmeth and care.For a back packer like my self this was an Oasis as I felt so much at home.The care and attention given to us was commendable.The welcome e-mail that I received from Hopfan with the directions prior to my arrival made me feel home already. On arrival the informal welcome that I received surprised me.It was so different from a run-of-the-mill hotel,where you just fill forms, pay the money and no one has time for you after that.From the time I checked in up to the time I checked out Hopfan never stopped caring for me.After I had finished sight seeing for the day it was a pleasure to return back to Hopfan as it was like coming back home. The place was so clean and the bathroom was spectacular with all modern fittings which you don't even find in a five star hotel.The restaurants and the shops in the area are so much cheaper than the centre of London.We saved so much money by having dinner in the local restaurants which are open till after midnight. I was made to feel very welcome on arrival to the Hopfan B&B and was pleasantly surprised by it's cleanliness and homely quality. It is in a different league to anywhere else I have stayed in the area for the price. This is living proof that budget accommodation doesn't have to mean dirty or badly managed.
