Overpriced and not really worth the efforts Wished I had read the comments of the previous guests before I considered staying there. The place -- more a homestay than a hostel -- is nothing but overpriced. I've got to pay extra for everything! For the unjustified 30 F$ per night for a dorm (without even being able to close a door) you don't even have breakfast included! 10 Bucks for Instant coffee and super cheap toast and jam. Same with dinner! 20 Bucks for a home-cooked stew -- the whole pot was not worth the money! And what makes the matter worse -- to finally get away they charge you another 30 Bucks to ship you to the mainland again. Then you're somewhere really off the beaten track -- and, what else, they charge you again 12 bucks to give you a ride in their bus back to the civilisation. I definitely don't recommend this hostel!

Worst Place Ever It is an overpriced, infested mosquito pit with generators that can't keep a fan going. Warren is an egotistical person who demands advance payments from the mainland and can't deliver in the Safari Lodge. When asked for a refund, he assures you it will happen. (Sure.) There have also been numerous reports of Fijian staff being treated unfairly and travelers not receiving their refunds. I would give this place a wide berth. Hope everyone else complains too and puts Warren out of business!

Terrible, worst experience I have ever had. The place looks more like a building site than a lodge, meals were brought over from the mainland and cooked god knows where, i didn't pay $25 per meal to eat stale sandwiches. Our host Warren Francis is the most superficial arrogant ignorant person I have ever met, refused to refund my money after I paid in full for my one-week stay, never going back again and will be taking things further through the right channels once I have the time. Not happy at all.

Very nice place, it feels a little bit like home away from home! I was supposed to stay five days and extend my stay to ten days. friendly staff, local food -- would recommend it!
