Walters B&B - Interlaken, Switzerland

We've seen many good reviews about Walters B&B from many websites and thought this hostel would be the right choice for our first time in Switzerland. On the day we traveled to Switzerland, our flight was delayed from Heathrow airport due to the haze hazard. After we reached Switzerland, we tried to contact Walter to inform him about our delay knowing that the last check-in time was 8 p.m., but no one picks up the phone. By the time we reached the B&B it was past 8 p.m. We pressed the doorbell several times before Walter's came to answer. We had a rude shock and a nasty first taste of his hospitality. He raised his voice and chided us for disturbing him at that time. We tried to explain to him that our flight was delayed and we had tried calling him, but he simply said "No no, go away!" and slammed the door right into our face without even hearing our explanation. That was not withstanding that we were only two ladies and one guy and everyone were already exhausted in the freezing night. We wandered in the street and fortunately bumped into another hostel who took us in. We had wasted our booking fees on Walters, but we hope our nasty experience will be a lesson for others who are thinking of staying there.
