It's a clean place with very interesting room (japanese stile = no bed, just tatami) - for a reasonable price. Don't even bother trying to speak english (no one there speaks a word of it).

People were nice, and friendly too.Working class area and a bit dingy, so not to everybodys liking, but as a photographer I loved it. Near to the happening Asakusa area, park and river.

I lost my room key, the staff were prompt and understanding and unlocked my room for me, providing me with another key. I did have to pay another 1000yen which was fair enough. I didn't meet anyone at the hostel as there is no dedicated social lounge area and most of the locals are around 60 years old. Good cheap place to stay for a night if you just need to spend a night in Tokyo, I travelled from Narita airport which was about a 90minute trip and cost 1100yen, then the next day I travelled to Haneda airport which was about 35 minutes and cost around 600 yen.

Very clean and quiet, however the rooms and floors of each level are separated by gender.
