I would not reccommend this hotel. First, the positives. It is clean, decent location (about two minutes from shopping district and ten minutes from the Big Church), and very secure. If you need a place to crash, you will not be disappointed. So you may be asking why I do not reccommend this hostel. Two reasons -- they charged me for a night stay that I did not make and I am in the process of disputing this which has not been resolved yet. I always lock and chain my luggage, usually to something in the hostel/hotel. When I arrived back in my hotel the owner or whoever runs it (only speaks Spanish) insisted I open the door to my room. Upon opening it he started angerily pointing at the chain. At first I thought it might be because I damaged something with the chain or they had trouble cleaning around it but then I realized it was because he was insulted I chained my luggage in this hostel. Cultural differences aside, what I do in the privacy of my room to my luggage is my own business and I do not need to have explanations for locking or chaining my luggage. Granted, this hostel was quite secure, but as I said, I do not owe any explanations for locking my luggage. And I do not owe any answers and should not have to put up with an angry owner. I was not impressed.
