This is a quiet small homestay that is close enough to everything you need, but secluded from the hussle and bussle of everyday Indian City life. A perfect place to relax and unwind in the evening without the sound of vehicle horns all night. The breakfast offered is home made tasty Kerelan fare. Good value for money.

It is a very nice place, near to the big Kaloor Bus Stand, which is a main bus station here in Cochin/Ernakulam. The hostel is not directly on a big road, so it isn't noisy. It is very clean and safe. TV in every room for free. The married couple is very friendly and helps you to get an access to Cochin and Ernakulam.
They have got a staffer (Mr. Stanley) who pick me and my girlfriend up, very friendly and helpful. He get me an Indian Sim card.
We come here for a medical clerkship in the ernakulam medical centre, so we drive everyday by bus for just 10 Rs. both.

Had difficulty in finding the place but this could have been the Taxi Driver but warm welcome when we arrived and place spotlessly clean. Owner and wife very helpful indeed.

The hosts were lovely and helpful. They helped us book a houseboat for us (a little pricey but it was a great worthwhile experience!) and gave us a lot of helpful tips and advice on travelling Kerala. It is more of a homestay than hostel as the travellers are upstairs and the hosts live downstairs. We were disappointed we had to leave early as we weren't going to have time to sample the typical Keralan breakfast! We did still get juice, tea, fruit and toast though which was nice of them.

Mr and Mrs Thomas were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay in Cochin - trips were booked, airport pick up, breakfast included, room clean and laundry service provided. The feeling was more of a home stay rather than a hostel.

We came here because of the positive reviews we had read, after looking at several hostels and hotels we chose this for its value for money and good overall rating. This was our first stop in india and we couldn't have found a better hostel. It was very clean, cool, nice outdoor seating and had internet access. It felt more like a nice apartment just tucked off from the noise of the main street. Cold beers were always in the fridge when we returned from our outings. We don't think there could possibly be a nicer or more genuine host than Mr Thomas. The closest rival would likely be his right-hand man Stanley, who took us for many great value tours in his spacious and comfortable brand new chevvy. Each morning presented a different regional dish - homemade, fresh and delicious. A must for any visiter to Cochin - experienced, or first timer. We're sure to be back in the future.

We had arranged to meet our son at Mr and Mrs Thomas' home stay, he was on the last leg of his tour around Asia. He arrived from Malaysia on his own and Mr and Mrs Thomas looked after him like one of their own. We arrived four days later. Mr and Mrs Thomas home stay is really lovely, we were made very welcome, the rooms are spacious and spotless. Breakfast is Keralan food cooked fresh by Mrs Thomas, it's fantastic and loads of it, freshly squeezed fruit juice, a different hot dish everyday, fruit and coffee or tea. Always a nice cool beer waiting in the fridge on return from a day out. (If requested). Mr Thomas went out of his way to organise trips, driver and recommended places to move on to. I would not hesitate to recommend this home stay to anyone considering a trip to Kerala, What a lovely way to start our trip around Kerala. A truly lovely home from home.

Wonderful experience! Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are were very kind! Great free breakfast everyday! Our rooms were simple but always clean. I am taking classes on-line so it was nice to be able to have internet access. The setting is one of quite and calm. We also liked the fact that we could walk into the busier town if we needed to to pick up items. their porch offers a nice overview of the neighborhood. Do not go for a hotel...if you don't stay at Thomas Inn, find a home stay. We actually booked with a hotel initially, but because they were rude by phone we canceled. The Thomas Inn was the total opposite. It's like having a family away from home:)

We actually ended up staying here for longer than originally intended. Thomas is a lovely man who couldn't do enough to help us. He arranged some great days out visiting the local sights, which were extremely good. The breakfasts served here were amazing examples of home cooked local dishes, which filled us up until dinner time! Both Thomas and his wife Lacily made us feel at home and very welcome. The room was clean and big, with a good clean bathroom and TV with many channels. I would recommend this place to anybody!

Good location, near train and bus station room but off the busy road down a quite lane. Room was very clean with veranda outside, which was lovely and relaxing. Food was fab. Thomas was extremely helpful and booked us a good deal with house boats. Felt very safe and looked after. Also we had my son aged 13 with us and he loved it too. Its like a friendly B&B as your staying in thier house. Loved it! Thanks Thomas

The couple that runs the hostel serve home cooked meals and assist with travelers plans. I loved the home cooking and took a day-trip to Munnar. In addition, they arranged for a boat ride around the harbor. They really take excellent care of their guests.
