Wow! I loved my time in Puerto Lopez, and the jewel in its crown is the Oceanic. Paul, who ran the place in the off-season (visited in late November) was wonderful. His advice on restaurants, which island to go to, internet cafes and more were dead on and super helpful. His wife is a great cook. They took care of my laundry. A security guard watched the grounds and gate, making me feel very safe. The rooms were the nicest I saw on the coast in five cities. The word that I heard over and over in Puerto Lopez was tranquilo -- peaceful. The Oceanic in Puerto Lopez was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever been, and I can't wait to go back. Five stars -- excellent -- I recommend it without any reservation!

It is a great place to stay. The location could not be better...just a few steps from the beach. The hotel is really charming with spacious and beautiful little houses, with fantastic views!!!! The food was great, the service prompt, and the quality superb. But the best was the staff who made us feel welcome and took very good care of us.
