I didn't like Dijon. Ok, it's pretty, but most of the cities in Europe are pretty. The hostel is huge and full of groups. I didn't meet any other backpackers there so it was a bit depressing. It is not in the center, but there is a bus that arrives every 10 minutes. Nice breakfast, friendly staff, and the rooms are clean. I wouldn't recommend Dijon unless you have special interest in mustard.
