Unique -- Watanabe-san should start a worldwide franchise! I first lived in OEH over twenty-three years ago before the current "new" building was built. In the old building, I used to watch it snow through the cracks in the wall of my room. Fortunately, over the years, the building was rebuilt (it is modern now), but the original spirit of cooperation and cultural exchange among the students, residents, teachers continues. If I could speak to those who were considering whether to attend OEH, I would just say "Do it." The longevity of OEH speaks for itself. The experience will affect you in a positive manner like no other experience.
