Nice hotel with good breakfast with a nice view But it's not the cheapest choice. The room was big, but we stayed in another building, which wasn't as nice as the main building but cheaper (3000 Lek double room). Very clean and quiet, owner speaks English very well. — Sandra , German (2008-01-07) I stayed here in summer '04 and loved the hotel. The owner had been working hard on preserving the hotel, as well as other buildings in the town, to be kept as fine examples of local architecture, and the hotel's decor is very much in this style. After the chaotic Tirana, I found the hotel and town to be very serene and relaxing -- it was cool inside despite the baking heat outside. The owner spoke good English and very welcoming, although not obtrusive, and very enthusiastic towards travelers who visit Albania. The hotel is on a high point in the town, so you can sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down. Gjirokastra is a wonderful town too and shouldn't be missed if you visit this great country. — Jim H. (2007-02-12)
