Bad value We had booked ocean view guesthouse for three nights (22nd february to 24th february). according to the description given by rough guides we chose this place and it turned out to be the opposite from what we expected. great view and location but the shoe box type rooms and modernized place was not what we wanted. the place had no taste with tiled all over and very unclean. we did expect a colonial type place but ocean view is a modern building and not at all tasteful for a unesco site. it's not value for money at 35 usd. we finally end up staying one night at ocean view and moved to another place.

We visited Ocean View Guesthouse on 31 December 2003 with and were welcomed by a delightfully warm and friendly staff. The rooms were excellent - clean, bright and tastefully decorated. A wonderful breakfast was served on our terrace (with a splendid view) in the morning. What a dream! We are happy to hear the guesthouse was not affected by the tsunami and we wish all the wonderful people in Galle and Sri Lanka all the best for the future.
