Nice place I've stay here in September. My only complain is about the smoke from people smoking at the small garden to where most rooms have their window so it can get a bit smelly. Despite that, manager is great, kitchen is clean, bathrooms are nice, and location is fab. Security is great and having a pub just across the street makes it very handy and guarantee people to have fun outside the hostel so its very quite during the night. I highly recommend it! — Luna , Italy (2007-12-26)

Absolutely great place!!! Andrew, the manager is just an amazing person, always ready to help you. The room had a good size with TV, own bathroom and good size bed. The kitchen is nice, small, but since this is not a big place, there is no need of a huge kitchen. Location is the best. Next to markets, walinkg distance from Kings Cross station and Kings Cross street which , by the way, its a cool place. Felt absolutely safe walking there during day or late night.
The only donwside would be the eletric installation at the hostle/hotel. Not all the rooms could turn on the heat without power going down. But everything else is great!! Thank you Andrew, you are the most polish-aussie I'ver ever met!!:) greatings from Adriana and Sonia, Brazil! — Adriana - Brazil (2006-07-30)

I am staying here at the moment and I am very pleased with it. The couple who run the place are very, very nice and eager to please -- we weren't totally happy with our first room, mainly because it didn't get much natural light. They moved us to a much bigger and brighter room. You can also get very good discounts here if you are staying longer, it's worth asking. The rate we are paying for a big double room with microwave, TV, etc., is the same as a dorm bed in a hostel. I would recommend this place if you are on a budget. It's also a great location. The kitchen is small but perfectly adequate. — Lynn (2006-04-20)
PROS: fab location; room with a mini-fridge, microwave, clock radio, sink, and cupboards; cheap and secure, with a friendly and helpful (enough) staff.
CONS: The room smelled like a mouldy old towel, with no sign of the TV that was promised. The showers were absolutely the most filthy I've ever seen. The toilets were okay but nothing was cleaned for the entirety of the stay. The 'fully-equipped kitchen' was a joke; only a couple plates were available, and there were no cups or cutlery (not that I'd want to use them after spotting a mouse down the side of the oven). The current management is unprofessional--they stuffed up my reservation, lost my credit card details, and attempted to charge higher than the initial quote for the room. If this place was cleaned up a bit, it would be great! However, it sounds like the place changes its live-in managers frequently. It definitely seems as if the standard of living and cleanliness depends on whether this manager does her/his job. — Suze (2004-04-27)
