Little Retreat

We stayed for fifteen nights in August 2006 and had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Gary and Loretta (the owners) were very friendly and helpful. (While we were away for ten days, we could leave our bicycle and lots of luggage at their place). We found this place great value! The only downside is that it's about thirty minutes by bus to downtown Vancouver.

It's a nice place and the breakfasts are good, but the owners are anal as hell about everything. They make mistakes in the price, yet it's your fault if they do. The owner will quite happily let you use the PC there, although he'll change the password behind your back when you walk away to stop you using it, even though it's designated as a public PC. You're not allowed to use any of the appliances, etc., so if you plan to do any cooking, etc., you can forget it. As far as I could see, they're only in the game because they can make a lot of money from it. I would NOT recommend this place at all, especially if you plan on staying any length of time.
