don't go there! they are terrible people, they didn't give us back the 300 euros of key deposit. we went to the amsterdam police but the police said they can't do anything, so we lost 300 euros! Never again!

The 100-euro key deposit is not advertised until you put down your non-refundable deposit. Do you get a receipt? It's too much and it doesn't cost 100 euros to get a key re-cut. This is misleading...

I recently made two bookings to stay at Studio-Rooms rentals. The first was due to be on the 12th-15th March 2005 and the second on the 29th April to the 1st May 2005. The owner made his PayPal request for the first night of both stays. Due to an administrative problem, (and I did respond within the time limit) I had to ask the owner, a Mr. Beelt, to re-send his PayPal request to another e-mail address and I promised to pay immediately. Mr. Beelt replied by canceling both bookings with a refusal to do what involved sending ONE e-mail for my convenience. I am now £37.49 down in booking fees to hostelz.com. I feel that Mr. Beelt has been inconsiderate, particularly with three days to go, as I have made travel plans for the first trip, and as well as being somewhat stupid when I was ready to give him the business. He had merely to send an e-mail and wait a few hours because there was a small problem. He also requested a 100-euro deposit for keys, which isn't advertised at hostelz.com. I don't think that his attitude is all that great and my experience with him at the booking stage is a warning never to rent from somebody as arrogant as him. It does make you wonder what his accommodation is like. Thank you Mr. Beelt for messing up the entire trip because you were TOO LAZY to send ONE e-mail!!
