acceptable quality and extremely close to train station (fifteen minute walk), which was fantastic. Breakfast costs extra. Most, but not all, desk personnel speak English. Clean room with room AC. I opened the windows (I prefer air to AC), but no screens so the mosquitos got me. Internet email works, but is extremely primitive and costs (a little) extra. They allowed me to leave luggage at the hotel after I checked out so I could tour the town for a few hours before leaving Florence on the train. All in all, Bijou worked out fine for me, though younger travelers might prefer a place with more atmosphere. — Middle aged guy traveling solo (2006-06-12) This hotel is a nice place to stay, especially if you don't speak much Italian. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and for an extra 5 euros there is breakfast — croissants, tea, coffee, cereal, etc. It's a block from the station, and there is an elevator, so there's no stair climbing (which is good for elderly or the very young). The staff are friendly and helpful. They will also let you leave your bags in reception after you have checked out, if you want to sight-see and are catching a late train, etc. This hotel made for a nicer and friendlier trip for us than we had been previously having. — Anonymous (2004-10-03)
