4   Gorgeous, wonderful environment Hotel Ticomo was a wonderful stop on our trip. I went there two separate years on a mission trip and traveled the country. This hotel was the nicest out of all the others that we stayed in. The area is beautiful. The rooms were clean and every one was equipped with air conditioning, a rare luxury down there. The pool was clean and relaxing. I would definitely suggest this hotel to anyone who is going to be in the area.  , US ()
4  We were at the Ticomo for almost two months in late October and November until a week before Christmas. It is a unique and wonderful place, and I hope the family who owned it then is still running it; they are very friendly. The cabins were clean and the food was good, although there was not much variety. The grounds are lush and beautiful. I am not sure where the tennis courts were built. There were none when we were there. It was a special and fun experience to be there! I feel nostalgic to see everything and everyone there again, which is why I looked up this website. Yes, there were German Shepherds and their pups running around when we were here also, but they were never any trouble. There was a school across the road. One could see horses and carts and automobiles and old buses together on the roads. There were people from many different countries staying at the Ticomo. Yes, the lakes, volcanoes and countryside nearby are beautiful. One needs a driver, however, to get around easily and safely, which can be arranged.  ()
4  It is a great place. We arrived in June, 2004, from Denver, Colorado. This hotel is a fairly nice place, with huge, friendly guard dogs and a 10-foot fence with broken glass and barbed wire around it! I could never feel more safe. It has running water and air conditioning. It also has probably the cleanest, nicest pool in Nicaragua. There are bugs and ants, so be ready and take a bug bomb to use while you're not in the room. They have huge rooms, also. We are planning on going back next year! (It is also the most beautiful place I've ever been to, with huge volcanoes less than five minutes away! It is a really cool place that nobody knows about!  ()
