Our hotel was built at the end of the 19th century, when it was named the "Grand Hotel" - one of the first of its kind in Tallinn. The building was reconstructed in the 1920's, playing host to an hotel and a restaurant / cocktail bar right up until 1940. The building miraculously survived the bombardment of March 9, 1944, when 53% of the residential areas of Tallinn were destroyed. The Hotel Skåne was last fully renovated in 2003.
