4 I had a good holiday at the campsite. The staff were good and nice. The bungalow where we lived was good, but a bit of dirt in the bungalow at arrival and at regulate the water temperature in the shower was difficult.

5 I stayed there in a bungalow with my friend for seven nights and we just loved the campsite! The swimming pool area was really great and it wasn't hard to get to the center of Rome at all. We even started to like traveling with metro every day. Only thing that bothered us was that there wasn't ever any toilet paper and the floor was dirty since it wasn't cleaned even once on our stay there. But everything else was great -- friendly stuff, cool restaurant, place to dance.

3 Cold showers in the villas and one of the staff at the Information booth was extremely unhelpful and rather rude. As a result I refused to book any tours or transfers through the booth as I did not want her to receive any commission from it.

4 The staff here was one of the friendliest across Europe. I think their behavior depends on the person they're talking to. Unfortunately Americans do not make such a good impression in Europe (no offense. If you don't talk loud all the time (especially not at 3 a.m. next to someone else's tent when they are sleeping) and act properly, the staff will be more than friendly and helpful. This camping site is easy and cheap to reach (Metro and bus, 1 ticket is valid for 75 minutes) It's cheaper to stay in one of their tents than your own (weird enough) Toilets are clean, but mostly no toilet paper. Showers have good pressure hot water. It's definitely the place to stay in Rome if you're looking for something cheap but not crappy.

4 We stayed at Plus Camping for three nights and found it to be a good budget option. At 34 euros a night for en suite accommodation for 2 people, you would be pushed to find better in Rome. The cabins were lovely and clean if a bit small. Having your own loo and shower is great, too. The facilities in the park were great and it felt pretty safe. It is quite simple to get into Rome after you have done it a couple of times, but as others have said beware of missing the last bus from Cornelia. We did that once and couldn't get a taxi for love nor money. The walk back was horrendous, along the side of a motorway with no footpaths and loads of prostitutes around. On a more positive note, this place is good value, cheap and cheerful and much better than some of the smelly hostels downtown. Just don't miss the bus home!!

4 I was there with my girlfriend and we had a great time in Rome! The camp is near to the Underground (just catch bus #246), and by Underground you can go everywhere in the city. The staff are very friendly, the bungalow was clean but a bit cold. The restaurant is very good and not so expensive. A pizza is about 3-4 €. There is also an Internet cafe in the camp. I think it's a good place if you want to stay in a low-cost but good place in Rome. I can recommend it!

5 I went in August 04 with one of me mates to do a bit of sightseeing. This place is perfect. We stayed in one of the cabins with ensuite, which we found very useful cuz we didn't like the look of those public toilets! The bar was good at night, but we didn't bother with the restaurant! The pools were great too! and the transport was very cheap! You can get on for nothing most days, not that we did of course!! Metro is a bit dodgy tho!

2 A group of us stayed here for several days. PLUSSES: it's cheap, yes (little huts with decent showers, hot water, lights, fairly warm at night even in winter with the heater; and a fan is also available). The city bus service was decent. There's a great supermarket across the highway (but watch it, it closes at 8 p.m.). The restaurant staff didn't mind when we just sat down for coffee; the place had a nice atmosphere. There is no camp curfew. It's policed at night (a vehicle drives around). It's a quiet place, and it's nice to get away from bustle of city. It was marvelous that we have this option of camping in the winter! MINUSES: rude, rude, rude staff (and I allow a lot of leeway, since I've been in many countries and seen many people). The staff in the registration building DO talk to each other instead of to you. Passports are held hostage. Internet accessibility here is more expensive than it is downtown. Do NOT trust them to shuttle you to or from airport. Nothing is refunded. DO be prepared to argue for your rights (i.e. what was promised to you on the Internet). Oh, and it's up to YOU to remind them to give you back the deposit for your room key. Read ALL their fine print. But hey, we enjoyed it anyway.

3 Take bus #246 from the McDonald's restaurant at Cornelia station -the campsite is a five-minute ride from there, not bad at all. I brought my own tent. I found the trip into town every morning quite nice. I wish they had some cook-stoves, though, for saving money.

4 The hostel is good if you are looking for something simple and affordable. We stayed in the en suite and it's a mobile home with two twin beds and an attached bathroom (with a shower, a sink and a toilet). There isn't much extra space within the room, but it is clean. The staff are nice and helpful; the foods are reasonably priced (and taste good) in the restaurant. The pizzas range from four to eight euros, but they are actually bigger than the plate. The only serious problem we encountered was with "TERRAVISION SHUTTLE." We bought the return tickets at the airport and confirmed the return schedule for the departure day. We reconfirmed the schedule with the hostel the night before our departure, but the shuttle bus did not show up that morning. We waited on the street for more than an hour and we ended up calling a taxi. We had complained to TERRAVISION SHUTTLE when we arrived at the airport, but they refused to reimburse the unused tickets. Be very careful if you are planning to use TERRAVISION SHUTTLE to reach the airport. The hostel is only 10-20 minutes away from the airport (during non-rush hours) and it is much better getting a taxi than waiting an hour in the chilly morning on the street!

2 The first three nights we stayed in a bungalow, which has a bathroom and three beds. It was great, nice, clean and cozy. However the last two nights we had to stay in one of the tents without much warning because they had booked a huge group and couldn't fit us in the bungalows anymore. The tents are horrible! Mice got in and ate our food, there is no light, the tents smell and are damp and they are located right next to the road so they are very noisy. The showers are cold and the toilets are disgusting! The girls at the reception take forever to do anything and are a bit rude! The restaurant and bar are nice, but the breakfast they serve is very overpriced and pretty crappy. However on the plus side the supermarket across the road is great. But there are no cooking facilities or even a sitting area in the whole campsite. Basically I recommend staying here if you get a bungalow but DONT get a tent and BEWARE of the rude staff!

2 I stayed at the Roma Plus Camping grounds in September 2004 for a couple of nights in a twin bed trailer with an en suite bathroom. This place wasn't too flash. The staff were not that friendly. You have to surrender your passports as a deposit, which is a bummer (I would rather hand over cash!). They didn't take messages for guests (when my partner and I were waiting for an important message from someone). Everything was pretty pricey here in terms of food, etc. but there was a supermarket across the road that had heaps of cheap food. The camping ground is fairly isolated — there is only a couple of public buses that run past the camping ground and they run at long intervals (sometimes it was 15 minutes, sometimes it was 30 minutes!) and the buses stop around 10:30 p.m. There are no footpaths anywhere — so you have to walk on a busy six-lane road to get anywhere away from the camping site at night. The cabin itself was sort of clean — but not well insulated (it was very hot in the daytime, and freezing at night). There was a pool (but it wasn't heated). Be careful with this lot — they advertise a free shuttle, but there wasn't one in shoulder/low season (this was the reason why we booked here). It was cheap but not very cheerful!

4 It's an ideal place for budget travelers. The restaurant is okay and not expensive. It's clean with nice green surroundings. The bus and metro to city center take 1 hour. In September, only a few tents are occupied, so it's very calm. The motorway is noisy and there's no shuttle bus (only in high season). It has a very friendly staff.

3 Very nice place. It's clean, friendly, has a great atmosphere, and the restaurant was very cheap and good. The reason that I give it 3 stars is because it is a little ways from the city. But it is very easy to get to. And the dryer kept breaking down. But there's a pool, and free internet. Definitely stay here, you will meet lots of backpackers. Oh yeah, and CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.
