Was it really worth it?
I went to calella with a trip to school. I am fourteen and went with forty children and four teachers. When we entered the hotel we had a nice surprise, the whole downstairs was furnished nicely, friendly atmosphere, and nice food from the restaurant. However when we entered the upstairs areas, every part of the trip went bad. The rooms were poky, and with four to a room, there was no room to move, and with no air as the windows and air conditioning broken, it was hot and stuffy most nights. The swimming pool was old and dirty, and the whole floor smelt of smoke. Unfortunately we had some horrible neighbours, who knocked on doors, smoked, drank to high heaven, and sexually touched some of the female pupils on the trip, as well as show private areas of themselves to our teachers, and when the hotel manager did not do much, saying they were powerless in the situation! We stayed there for four nights, and out of all of that i got about twenty-four hours, when i should be getting ten hours a day! My opinion of hotel vila? Stay for the food, leave for the poor staff and sleepless nights!

I was in Hotel Vila with my friends for ten days. When we arrived we were very surprised because of the good look of it. The personnel was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the food was great. I don't know what you expect because it has got only three stars and nevertheless it's super!

I didn't get a good night's sleep because of the noise. Rooms poor -- no AC, no extractor fan in bathroom. Bath had no plug and was dirty anyway. TV didn't work. Food standard international buffet style -- could be anywhere! This hotel caters for large groups, including noisy teenagers! Not particularly friendly staff.

I was at Hotel Vila with a class of 28 students, aged 16 in June 2005. I have never had a class on their final journey (before leaving school) that was so contented with a hotel. They enjoyed the food, the friendly management, the room service and all the friendly staff there. Thank you very much! I'll be glad to come again with my next class.

We went to this hotel and we were very disappointed because it was very bad. The rooms are very dirty, there aren't TVs in all the rooms, and what's more there isn't air-conditioning either, except for the windows that didn't close.
