They do not have laundry, they do not accept credit cards, and the rooms do not have phones, but they offer all this to you when you are going to make the reservation.

I was there in September/October 2003. The hostel is basic, the staff friendly, and there's an English-speaking staff member whose Dad is Welsh, which was a great help. You were charged 1,000 pesos for breakfast.
One drawback was at the time they did not accept credit cards, even though the company I booked them through advertised them as doing so. And they were eager to get their hands on dollars, which meant I had less spending money because one of the staff, who said I'd paid for my full stay, didn't understand what I'd asked her. And on the day I was leaving they wanted more money from me, for days that I thought I'd already paid for.
You get a better exchange rate using pounds rather than dollars there.
