2   Not as bad as I thought I will admit, I was expecting pretty poor conditions, I mean it is a hostel. But to be honest I was surprised by the place. It had a nice kitchen, living room and our bedroom (I shared with my husband) had its own TV. The bed was fine, sheets were old and the pillows were so flat we had to wad towels up under our head to make it seem like we weren't sleeping just on the bed. I did not use the shower, I felt it was a little gross, and there were some spider webs and I saw one cockroach, but otherwise it wasn't so bad. We only saw one other person in the house, he slept on the couch in the living room which I thought was weird, but he didn't bother us. There were lots of roosters (common in Hawaii) that woke us up super early with their crowing. The place is right at the edge of the forest, so it was really pretty and about a 3 block walk to the bus stop. We had to take a taxi into town twice, it cost about $13 each way. The bus is $2.50 a person and it was pretty easy to figure out. Marie, the person who owns it, is super friendly and laid back, she let us leave our bags there while we went to pick up our car, she even moved our reservation at the last minute. Overall if you are looking for super cheap and don't mind some bugs and dirt, this is not a bad option.  , age 30, USA ()
5   Best place in Honolulu Great place to stay, very accommodating the experience from check in to check out was great very simple and hassle free. Location is quiet and drama free, best part is they offer queen size beds for best price in Honolulu. Full kitchen access is always great with a foodland down the street.  , age 26, Miami ()
