Clifden Eco Beach Camping & Caravanning Park Reviews

Description

Welcome to Clifden ecoCampsite
Clifden Connemara Co. Galway
"Discover the peace of nature amongst the dunes"
Free Shuttle Pick Up/return from Bus Station.*
Excellent Beach Water & Drinking water Quality!!
Rare midget/mosquito insect occurrence!

Clifden's unique ecological natura campsite is nestled amongst the sand dunes on the the western fringe of Connemara, Co. Galway. Our Park offers visitors a sustainable,
cluster free, 'natura camping' experience on eight hectares of coastal Machair habitat bio-diversity, with unparalleled panoramic Atlantic seascape views. The coastal Park, with its sheltered, safe 'secluded private beach' is within easy walking distance to the stunning tidal Island of Omey.

We are ideally situated on the shores of the 'Wild Atlantic Way'. Just ten minutes from Clifden town & two minutes from the small scenic village of Claddaghduff between the beautiful Atlantic ocean & the majestic Twelve Bens mountain range which forms part of the 'Connemara National Park'. Only a short distance away, it features fantastic designated trekking routes. Here you can also gain a unique understanding of Irish bogs & the ecosystems they support.
.
Our Natura Campsite is low density & uncommercialized. Glamping & wild camping style plots are peaceful & privately spaced apart between 'marram grass' covered sand dunes, making your camping experience unique & more enjoyable! Here you can enjoy the vast open space, natural beauty, sandy beaches, breathtaking sunsets, cosy campfires, under a star friendly big sky. All within the boundaries of an ecological amenity that is operated on a sustainable, green, environmental & ethical basis with a low carbon foot print making it a serene destination to unwind.

One kilometer of coastline provides the perfect water trail discovery for all kinds of sea-borne activities, including safe swimming, sea angling, crabbing, scuba diving,
kite surfing, boating & the famous 'drift dive' or 'drift snorkle' along the estuary of Streamstown Bay. Ecological & geological listed sites are the best examples seen anywhere in Europe. There are also beautiful coastal beach walks within the park, with longer walks to & around the beautiful tidal island of Omey.

We guarantee that your plot never becomes wet under foot, will remain dry & clean even in extreme wet weather conditions. It is also rare for mosquito/midget insects to appear on site due to its coastal location
