Good place to go. Well located, atmosphere relax and typical japanese, staff helpful, internet available. A bit noisy and tiny bathrooms however but it's a really good guesthouse. — Julien , France (2007-05-15)

We stayed at this hostel in October 2005 and we loved it. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The staff are -- though with language problems -- very helpful. It's possible to rent bikes which makes getting around Kyoto a lovely experience. Piece of cake! The hostel was basic but very clean and with some nice decorative touches to the place. If you are looking for a cheap good-value-for-money tatami-experience in wonderful Kyoto book this hostel! — Junespice (2006-05-16)
