Worlds above the available HI's in bologna -- though not centrally located, there's a very regular bus service (five to twenty minute interval, ten minute walk) that runs till midnight and even then a taxi doesn't cost much from the city centre. The bungalows are great, clean, tidy -- there's an onsite pub, obviously no curfew, swimming pool is not to be underestimated in summer.
