Stayed here in Christmas 1981, me and a heap of my mates from Broken Hill -- great place to stay, great location. The best place to stay in the best little village in Europe, and some of the fondest memories of our year or two in Europe. I hope to get back there soon to relive the old memories.

We had a lot of fun in Kirchberg. Good snow and nice evenings in the bar.

Club Habitat is a popular watering hole for English-speaking workers in the Kirchberg/Kitzbuhel area. This function takes priority over the comfort and sensibilities of resident guests. As the bar stays open until 4 a.m. or even later, residents are expected either to join in or endure the very loud music, raucous laughter and cigarette smoke, all of which permeate the whole building. These factors, added to unclean rooms, grubby bedding beneath the covers, cracked crockery, cheap and badly-washed cutlery and poorly maintained plumbing, combine to make Club Habitat a poor choice for anyone except the most tolerant of young people. Personally, I shall not be back, nor will the huge majority of our party of 46 skiers.

If you like to party, this could be the place for you. If, however, you like to socialize to a reasonable hour, then sleep all night so that you are fit to ski all day, Club Habitat is definitely NOT the place to stay. Its standard of comfort and cleanliness compare unfavorably with Hostelling International youth hostels, so, if this is important to you, choose a hostel or hotel. If you like loud music, cigarette smoke and an all-night bar, Club Habitat is the place to go.

I worked in Club Habitat in 2003/2004 and I had a wicked time. The people are real friendly, and always partying. I can't wait to come back for another raucous winter.

Stayed for Xmas 03. I had a real brill time. Super friendly staff, great food, and partying all nite. It's close to everything and I could not have asked for more. Everybody in Kirchberg knows the Habitat!!! xx

The rating refers to the fun factor more than the comfort level!
