It was very safe. Caracas in general did not feel safe but at the hotel we were safe, and in the area of Altamira we felt mostly safe.
The housekeeper washed our laundry for a small fee which was great as I dont think it was a service she usually provided.

The location, in the safer district of Altamira, was good. There is a subway just around the corner. The hotel was serious about security, which was reassuring.

The hotel is good value for Caracas (not anywhere else) but is fairly souless and 70s/80s style decor. It is safe and secure and in a decent neighbourhood which is all we needed
