An excellent hotel, that looks like a five star, with its grand entrance hall and excellent eating areas.
I stayed here for 3 nights in January 2005 at the very beginning of my year trip around Oz and SE Asia.
The room service (for food) was quick.
The place has 2 pools (one on the roof so you can get tanend up!).
There are many varied eateries to try out. It has its own entrance to the sky train which is handy.
Most of the staff speak reasonable english and are always helpful.
The rooms are clean and come with a mini bar/ fridge and tv.
Its location is quite helpful too, what with the already mentioned sky train access, it is also only 5 minutes walk from the MBK shopping centre, the Siam Discovery Centre and a host of other attractions.
On my return to Bangkok in August 2005 I stayed 1 night and was just as impressed. The only reason I stayed one night was because I was running out of money fast, and wanted to live in Khao San for the remainder of my 4 months away. If I had had the money, i would have definetly stayed a few more nights in The Asia. — Tom (2006-01-29)
