Cosy, clean, and nice The location is great! It is situated in the center of Barcelona. Everything is in walking distance. Las Ramblas (five minutes walking), The Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia. Also for the shopaholics, there is a huge shopping area, where you find all the big brands. The hostel is very cheap, yet clean and very cosy. They provide towels and soap. We had a room with separated bathrooms, but we did not have any problems showering and or using the bathrooms. I am a very clean person and I had no complains at all about the hygienic. Everything was very clean and fresh! There is a cleaning made everyday! The only bad thing was that they don't serve breakfast, but you can have breakfast anywhere near the hostel. The man at the desk was very friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful time there and we recommend it to anyone!

This place is great. The dude at the front desk was SUPER friendly and SO helpful. The place was also very clean, moderately priced, and had a GREAT location (five-minute slow walk to Las Ramblas, 15 minutes to the Gothic Quarter, 15 minutes to Sagrada Familia). Using public transportation was virtually unnecessary (although you would need it for Parc Guell). The only bad thing was that it was on like the sixth floor and the lift is pretty old and sketchy. The bathrooms were also a pain in the ass (always a wait in the morning) but I think they are adding sinks to every room, so that should help a bit. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone!

Location is the most important aspect in Barcelona, and Residencia is excellent! It is also at very good deal, the best value hostel or guesthouse throughout my month trip in Spain. They provide everything, a small balcony with desks and even towels and soap. It is just brilliant! The staff are very helpful and there is a cleaning maid everyday! The bad points are that there are nine rooms sharing 2 toilets facilities, and you must make the booking very early, the rooms are always filled!!!
