5 I stayed here for three nights last year. It was an amazing time. Eugene and his mother are extremely hospitable, and would do anything to make sure your time in Brasov is great. Eugene even took us to nearby Bran and Peles Castle for a day. He is very knowledgeable of the area's history and geography. It is also nice and close to the main city center. I had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

5 We just came back from Brasov, and when we arrived we caught Eugene off guard because instead of HIM approaching US at the station, we were looking for him (we'd read about him on the Internet). And we weren't disappointed. He was very, very helpful and hospitable. The rooms he had were in a separate area of the apartment he shares with his mother, and privacy was actually very good. It was really comfortable and had an old-fashioned charm, and the hand-drawn maps he gives you are as good as any you'll find in a guidebook. Great location too, just five minutes walk from the main square, and there's a good restaurant and a good pub just one minute's walk from the apartment. Thoroughly recommended.

5 I would recommend this hostel to anyone. When we saw Eugene at the train station waiting for us, we knew we had made the right choice. Eugene put so much care into making our stay wonderful — he asked us what we would like for breakfast, and what time we wanted it, gave us personally-drawn maps of the city, and offered to organize a wealth of activities for us, if we wanted. Thanks, Eugene, for a making my stay in Brasov unforgettable. The day tour you organized to the castles, lunch, and then bear watching was the highlight of my time in Europe. I can't wait to return.

1 I experienced very poor service here. A dog almost ate me, and the beds were old and not very clean. Sorry, Eugene, but your place was a true mess. I would definitely not recommend it. It was very bad. :(

5 Everything was perfect. Eugene helped us organise everything we wanted to do in Brasov and the surrounding towns. His tour to the bears was fantastic! Very clean and cosy rooms. Eugene is the most helpful and interesting person we have met in our three months in Europe. We recommend a stay here to everyone!
