Swallow Backpackers Hostel is located on the west bank of the Daugava River, but has a good connection with public transport, and only a 20 minute walk to Old town. Close by there is a large shopping center with a lot of shops and restaurants.
Swallow Backpackers Hostel offers two twin bed private roomwith TV and the fridge,two single private with TV and the fridge,one 4 bed and 8 bed dorm rooms for very cheap prices.
To make your stay as nice as possible, we offer you following:
Free Wi-fi in all rooms
Free tea and coffee 24/7
Free bed linen
Free luggage storage
Other facilities include a fully equipped kitchen facilities, a common room with a TV & DVD player, tourism information desk and non-stop helpful staff
Check In is available anytime in 24 hours. Check Out is 12 noon standard from your room. If you check out of your room before you have to depart Riga you are welcome to relax in the common room and watch movies. Free luggage storage is provided.

| Location | •By public transport • From the Airport: • Take bus No.22 (you can buy tickets by the driver), get out at stop Slokas iela, walk 35m back along the street Kalnciema (Kalnciema iela), and cross the street Krisjana Valdemara (Krijāņa Valdemāra iela) parallel to the tram line. Turn to right and continue to walk along the street Bezdeligu (Bezdelīgu iela) along the buildings. Turn to right and continue to walk along the street Bezdeligu (Bezdelīgu iela) along the buildings till the street crossing. Cross the street (Daugavgrīvas iela) and continue walking straight to the the small road. At the end of this road you will see the building of our hostel. • From the Central Train Station: • Leave the main building and turn to left passing by a train station building. You will see the Stockmann shopping centre in front of you, and turn to left continuing to pass by a train station building. Go under the railway bridge over all small shops, and in front of you will see the bus stop. Take the bus No 3 (Bolderāja) or the Airport bus No 22 (Lidosta). • Get out at stop - Kalnciema iela, then cross the street, and walk straight along the street (Daugavgrīvas iela) parallel the channel. Cross the small bridge after building site on your left, and continue to walk straight along the street till the street crossing. Cross the street, and you will see the hostel building. • From the Central Bus Station: • Leave the main building and cross the tram rails. Go in to the tunnel, and walk straight through the tunnel till the last exit on the left. Walk straight to the bus stop '13. janvāra iela'. Take the bus No 3 (Bolderāja) or the Airport bus No 22 (Lidosta). • Get out at stop - Kalnciema iela, then cross the street, and walk straight along the street (Daugavgrīvas iela) parallel the channel. Cross the small bridge after building site on your left, and continue to walk straight along the street till the street crossing. Cross the street, and you will see the hostel building. |

The room and the kitchen were big.

It's a bit hard to find, as it is not correctly placed on google maps. It's much closer to the river, but when you get there, it is worth it's money and the staff is very compliant.
And on the way of the airport bus (nr 22).
