In less than 5 minutes you can find yourself at Barreirinha swimming complex with sea access or in the splendid Central Market – Mercado dos Lavradores with its famous flower, vegetable and fruit stalls.

Behind the Mirasol Apartment there is a soccer field and a sports hall where our guests can watch different kinds of sports games. Nearby too you will find bus stations, from which you may take a bus that will take you too many Levada walking points around the island!

We had excellent service. The room was very clean. Basic facilities, no frills and close to the centre. Family Horta were helpful and arranged airport collection and a trip for us. Substantial amounts of bread and toast at breakfast! It was good value for money.

Good breakfast, very good help with everything, buses, levadas and all we ask about. We have a very nice room with balcony and view to the mountain.
Couldn´t have a better place to stay in Funchal, close to everything.
Litet trevligt familjehotell. Bra frukost, mycket bra hjälp med allting, bussar, levador och allt vi frågade om. Vi hade ett mycket trevligt rum med balkong och utsikt mot bergen. Kunde inte bo på bättre ställe i Funchal, nära till allting.

Run by very friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent, unlike a lot of the hotels that are quite a long way out of the city centre. Only two streets away from the sea and our room had a small balcony with sea views. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

I can't say enough good things about this property. The owners are lovely and ready to help with information and recommendations in any way possible. The rooms are good (mine had a balcony from which you could see the sea), and the breakfast is amazing. I was sad to leave.
