'Meson de Leyendas’ meaning ‘House of Legends’ is a well established, popular, family-run 3 Star Hotel located in the center of Valle de Bravo just 400 metres from the main square. The hotel building was formerly a nun’s convent dating back to the 17th Century that has been expertly converted by the owners into a truly authentic Mexican rustic style hotel.

The original colonial architecture and features has been carefully maintained and restored to create a feeling of warmth and character throughout the two buildings. Guests will appreciate the 8 comfortable individually designed rustic style rooms, each with ensuite bathroom.

The grounds that separate the 2 buildings feature a well designed lush green garden, filled with a variety of trees, bamboos, birds of paradise, bougainvillea and other exotic tropical plants.

Guests may reserve a secure car parking space within the hotel grounds (subject to space at peak periods) for their vehicle at no extra cost. Alternately the reception staff can arrange for our own vehicle to meet you on arrival at either Toluca International or Mexico City International airports, a transfer fee will be payable for this service.

Location	•‘Meson de Leyendas’ is located in Valle de Bravo, approximately two and a half hours drive using the quickest route from Mexico City Intl Airport and one hour and a half hours from Toluca Intl airport. Toluca is the closest city to Valle and offers a much more convenient international airport arrival in terms of transfer time to Valle. • For approximately 800-850 pesos you can reach Valle de Bravo by taxi from Toluca airport, or take a taxi to Toluca bus station for 135 pesos, then by bus, for approximately 50 pesos. When you arrive at the bus terminal in Valle, you can take a local taxi to ‘Meson de Leyendas’ hotel for only 20 pesos, it is a short eight minute taxi ride from the bus station. You can also walk to the hotel, but if you are carrying heavy luggage, the cobblestone streets, narrow sidewalks and busy roads make it difficult to walk comfortably. We would recommend the short taxi ride for your convenience. • If you are driving from Toluca City, we recommend that you take the Guadalajara Atlacomulco toll highway, and then the Valle de Bravo exit, because it is almost an hour faster than other routes. • On entering Valle de Bravo the highway becomes Juarez Avenue. Once on Juarez Avenue, you will see the Arts and Crafts Market or Mercado de Artesanias on the left hand side. Just before the market there is a fruit shop called El Tomatito. The street between the fruit shop and the market is called Penuelas. Turn left into Penuelas follow the road to the end until you reach a wall. Then turn left until you reach the school. Then turn right and you will arrive at the secure parking entrance to Meson de Leyendas. Enter via the third door along on the right. The main hotel entrance is further up to the next right turn at Bocanegra 405. • If you are coming from the main square, we are situated 400 metres (or 4 blocks) away at 405 Bocanegra Street. Beautiful monastery turned B&B in Valle My husband and I stayed here for four nights this month. Meson de Leyendas, as well as the town itself, is a truly magical place. We felt right at home and were greeted as friends by the owners. We had the opportunity to see several of the other rooms and they were all equally as elegant and beautifully appointed; many were huge, large enough for a family or group of friends of 6+ people! They've recently installed a new jacuzzi in their garden and we appreciated relaxing there after a day of paragliding in the mountains. The food was tremendous, as well.
