5   Quality accommodation This hostel has more of the atmosphere of a good hotel. The rooms are tidy, shower was good, WiFi ok and there are plenty of common rooms. The owner did his best to make me feel at ease, arranging someone to get me to the bus terminal, waking up late at night to let me in and show me my room, and to let me in my room again when I got locked out. Very good English skills. Location can get a but dodgy at night, but the security of the hostel itself was just fine.  , age 30, Netherlands ()
5   One of the best hostels we've stayed at in South America! The staff at this hostel go above and beyond, and the owner, Coco, even went so far as to accompany us into town to find a used cell phone to buy, and even arranged for a doctor to come to the hostel for us when we were feeling the effects of a stomach but and altitude sickness. The owners are extremely flexible, letting us let them know with pretty late notice that we wanted to stay just one more night ... Several times. Breakfast here is very simple, but the overall cleanliness, hot showers, internet, computer to use, and wealth of knowledge and help the owners and staff offer make this hostel worth staying at. The price was extremely reasonable, and the location was convenient (it's in close proximity to a supermarket, the downtown). Would definitely stay here again! 100%!  , age 18, USA ()
5   Coming home in Cusco We stayed with coco for a bit more than three weeks. Did some tours in between, but we kept coming back! Hot water, good beds, great service and a happy smile to wake up to every morning. Coco and the rest of staff are all going out of there way to help you with whatever you need. A phrase often heard was "don't worry!" And we didn't. Really felt at home here and if ever back in cusco, there is no way we will stay somewhere else.  , age 25, Holanda ()
5   Clean, Hot Showers, Big Rooms and English Speaking Owner! A+ Great place to stay, 5-10 walk to the downtown square ... grocery store nearby. Kitchen is well equipped, owner is always there to help and make your stay nice. Decent breakfast in the morning (buns are above average). Large rooms with hot water. Would stay again for sure!  , Australia ()
5   The best welcome to Cusco We got off the night bus at 530am and got a taxi to El Tuco. Coco was there waiting for us. No one was in our room so he let us sleep in it prior to check in without charging us extra. We felt really safe in El Tuco. Coco was on hand to help with anything we needed and even got up early to see us off on the Inca trail. We stayed here for five nights and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.  , age 32, UK ()
4   Great price, great location Great price and great location. You cand find a supermarket close to the hostal. The owner is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is big and endless. The rooms have a nice size, are clean but cold. The water is really hot ... I have to say extra-hot.  , European ()
5   Clean and comfortable The rooms were clean and comfortable. The showers were hot, especially nice after the Inca Trail! Staff were friendly and gave helpful and honest answers to our questions. Although it's a 10-15 minute walk from the plaza, I felt safe walking on the main roads. Plus, it's nice to get away from the very touristy plaza area. Highly recommended!  , Canada ()
5   Fantastic and friendly place to stay My wife and I have stayed here on two occasions, for two nights when we first arrived in Cuzco and five nights after we returned from Machu Picchu. We can't say enough good things about this place. Coco, the owner, is a wonderful host and speaks very good English, as do all of his staff. There is a shared kitchen available to cook in, free wifi, a desktop computer with free internet access, and Cable-TV in the community lounge. The rooms themselves are clean and spacious. Cuzco itself is a little cold in the evenings but there are plenty of warm blankets. The staff are very helpful and gave us advice on everything from places to eat to booking onward buses. You can book an independent tour through the hotel if you wish but you are under no pressure to do so if you want to shop around. The Hostel itself is about 5mins walk from central Cuzco and is very safe and secure and you can leave your large backpacks whilst trekking. Also, twice a week the bar is open, which includes Coco's complimentary Pisco Sours, which are delicious!  , UK ()
