We spent five nights here in July 2005. We pitched our own tent in an area dedicated totally to backpackers. The facilities that are on the site are good and cleaned regularly. The bar/restaurant is good value for money and the staff very friendly. There is a shop onsite, which is very ordinary to be honest and its hours are very limited. The shuttle to/from the train station is a bonus. — Danielle (2005-10-06)

We started off our Europe trip in camp Tiber where we had a great time hanging out at the pool during the day and going to the bar at night. In fact it was such a great place that we had to end our trip back at camp Tiber before we headed back to the States. During our stay at camp Tiber, we made good friends with the friendly staff and other fellow campers, including people from all over the world. We highly recommend other people staying here during their visit to Italy. — Edward & Jacob Flores (El Paso, TX, USA) (2005-07-11)

This hostel has a great location, and it gives you a feel of Italian hospitality. Friendly, helpful, and fun staff! There's a great bar and restaurant. It has hot showers and clean bathrooms. Next time I am in Rome I will definitely come back! — Heather (2005-02-09)

This campsite is very beautiful and we found a lot of things. The service is agreeable. — Elodie of France (2004-11-18)

Great place! I loved every bit of it! It has a super bar with great music every night! But watch out for those drinks, though—loads of alcohol! You get your money's worth, that's for sure! Long island teas are the ones to try!! The accommodation is quite good, too. It's pretty basic but everything else makes up for it!! (A word of warning: don't book their tents in the summer. As soon as the sun comes out it's scorching. There are no trees surrounding their tents; go for the large dorms or the cabins.) — Anonymous (2004-09-05)

This was the best stay of my entire three-week trip to Europe. Cheers to Laney, Paul, Chris and Travis. This place has the best staff, a great bar, and I would totally recommend it--I loved, loved, loved it! — Amy (2004-06-15)
Tiber Hostel & Camping: good bar, that's for sure, but the accommodations suck big time. Staff, exept for Mario, are pleased to be doing their work. It's too far from the city centre: you've got to get back before 10 pm to catch the bus which means you've got to leave Rome about 9 pm (a cab costs approximately 22-27 euri). It's a shame to leave the city unrevealed by night, but the hostel is a good place to get wasted with people from all over the planet. — Anonymous (2004-05-25)

My friend and I stayed here for 10 days in March of 2002 and had the greatest time. The staff are great and the food at their onsite restaurant is fantastic. They have shuttle services and will pick you up from the terminal at Prima Porta. — Anonymous (2004-01-12)

Me and my best mate had the most brilliant time at this campsite mainly due to the gorgeous staff. If you are staying in Rome you HAVE to come here... — Sophia (2003-10-25)

We had a really good time at this campsite. The cabins were clean and comfortable and we found it really good value. The staff are really friendly and there was a good atomosphere in the bar. If you want to go out in Rome at night it isn't the best play to stay though. — Anna (2003-10-18)
